Marketplace Disclaimers & State Privacy Rights

This page summarizes the most important disclaimers about how Fixeep, operated by Group Cordova Tech LLC, works as a home-services lead marketplace, and gives a short summary of your state privacy rights. It is a plain-language companion to the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, which are incorporated by reference and control in the event of any conflict.

1.1. Fixeep is not a party to the work

Fixeep is a technology platform that connects clients who need home services with independent professionals (“Pros”) who may quote on and perform that work. Fixeep is not a party to the agreement between a client and a Pro.

  • We do not perform, supervise, direct, schedule, or control the work.
  • We do not guarantee the work, the quotes, the pricing, the timeline, or the results.
  • We are not a contractor, home-improvement company, or party to any quote, contract, or dispute between a client and a Pro.

Fixeep does not charge a commission on the work and does not handle payment for the work. Payment for the job is arranged directly between the client and the Pro, off the platform. Any agreement, dispute, warranty, or claim about the work is solely between the client and the Pro.

2.2. Verification is limited

Professional verification on Fixeep starts with an automated identity check: software reads the documents a Pro submits and compares them against the data in their profile. Our team reviews borderline cases by hand and can reverse any decision. This review is limited and is not an exhaustive background check.

  • We do not guarantee the identity, licensing, insurance, qualifications, competence, safety, honesty, or fitness of any Pro.
  • We do not run automated identity, criminal-background, or credit checks, and we do not independently confirm every credential a Pro presents.
  • Approval on Fixeep means our team reviewed the submitted documents. Nothing more. It is not an endorsement, guarantee, or certification of the Pro or their work.
Our verification is exactly what we describe here: a limited check of submitted documents, automated first and reviewed by a person when in doubt. We do not claim to do more than we actually do.

3.3. Hiring is the client’s decision: do your own due diligence

Because Fixeep does not vet, guarantee, or stand behind any Pro, choosing and hiring a Pro is the client’s own decision and responsibility. Before you hire, you should do your own due diligence.

  • Confirm the Pro’s state contractor license where one is required. In Georgia, Florida, and Virginia, trades such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC generally require a state license. Verify it directly with the relevant state board.
  • Ask for proof of insurance, references, and a written scope and estimate before work begins.
  • Because payment for the work happens directly between you and the Pro, off Fixeep, agree on scope, price, and terms in writing before paying anything.

Fixeep is not responsible for verifying licenses or insurance on your behalf and does not act as an escrow or payment agent for the work.

4.4. The “Licensed / Certified” badge is informational

Some Pros may display a “Licensed” or “Certified” badge. State-contractor certification is optional on Fixeep. It applies to trades such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC and, where shown, reflects documentation the Pro submitted about a state license.

The badge is informational only. It is not a certification, license, guarantee, or endorsement issued by Fixeep, and its absence does not mean a Pro is unqualified. You should still verify any license directly with the issuing state board before you hire.

5.5. No employment or agency relationship

Pros on Fixeep are independent contractors. Nothing on Fixeep creates an employment, agency, partnership, joint-venture, or franchise relationship between Fixeep and any Pro or client.

Pros are solely responsible for their own work, taxes, licenses, permits, insurance, tools, and compliance with applicable law. Fixeep does not employ Pros and is not responsible for their acts or omissions.

6.6. Your state privacy rights (summary)

This is a short summary. The full details (the categories of data we collect, how we use and share them, and exactly how to exercise and appeal) are in the Privacy Policy.

  • Virginia (VCDPA). If you are a Virginia resident, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the “sale” of personal data, and certain profiling. You may also appeal a decision on your request.
  • Florida (FDBR). Florida’s broad consumer-rights framework applies only to very large platforms and does not apply to Group Cordova Tech LLC; however, Florida still restricts the sale of sensitive data without consent and requires breach notification, and we honor those.
  • Georgia. Georgia has no comprehensive consumer-privacy law today. We nonetheless apply consistent privacy practices across our site, backed by the federal FTC Act §5 baseline (our Privacy Policy is truthful and we follow it) and Georgia’s breach-notification law.

To exercise any privacy right, contact our privacy team at [email protected]. We describe the applicable response and appeal timelines in the Privacy Policy. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.

7.7. Provided “as is”; limitation of liability

Fixeep is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any Pro or lead will meet your expectations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fixeep and Group Cordova Tech LLC are not liable for the conduct, work, quotes, or omissions of any client or Pro, or for any dispute between them. The full disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute-resolution terms are set out in the Terms of Service, which control.
