Privacy Policy

This Policy explains how Group Cordova Tech LLC (the Fixeep brand) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use our United States website and services, and the privacy rights that may apply to you depending on your state of residence.

1.Scope and who is responsible

This Policy applies to the Fixeep website and marketplace in the United States. The controller (the business responsible for your personal data) is Group Cordova Tech LLC. For any privacy matter you can write to our privacy contact at [email protected].

Fixeep connects Clients (who post a home-service need) with independent Pros (who pay per lead to unlock the contact). We serve users in Georgia, Florida and Virginia. To keep our disclosures simple and consistent, we apply the same privacy notice to every user in the United States.

2.Personal data we collect

From the Client (who posts without creating an account):

  • name and phone number;
  • email address: required, used to send the job code, a link to the interested-Pros page, and details of each Pro who takes the job;
  • the exact service address, plus ZIP code, city and state (the exact street address is hidden until a Pro takes the job; see clause 5);
  • the job description, optional budget range, and any photos attached to the job.

From the Pro (who has an account):

  • identity and contact data: name, email and phone;
  • verification documents (e.g., government ID) submitted so we can confirm the Pro's identity;
  • optional state contractor license information (used for a "Licensed"/"Certified" badge);
  • service categories and coverage areas (ZIP codes) and profile information;
  • payment data: a saved card and per-lead charges are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Fixeep does not store full card numbers (see clause 6).

Collected automatically when you use the site:

  • device and technical data (IP address, browser, operating system, approximate location derived from IP);
  • usage data (pages viewed, jobs posted or taken, charges made);
  • cookies and similar technologies: details, categories and choices are in our Cookie Policy.
Verification documents are collected only to verify the Pro, with access restricted to verification staff, and are retained only for the time necessary (clause 7).

3.How we use personal data

  • Operate the marketplace: publish and manage jobs, and match Clients with Pros.
  • Verify Pros: we automatically read the ID they submit and compare it against their profile data, with human review of borderline cases, to help keep the Platform safe.
  • Process pay-per-lead charges and issue receipts when a Pro takes a job.
  • Send operational notifications (web push and email): job code, alerts about interested Pros, and the contact details of Pros who take a job.
  • Prevent fraud and abuse, secure the Platform, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Send marketing communications and, with your consent, use analytics and advertising cookies (see clauses 4 and 12).

4.Marketing communications (SMS and email)

We may send you marketing emails. Text messages (SMS) are only ever service messages about your own job or leads — never marketing — and only if you opted in. Where the law requires it we obtain your prior consent, and every message includes a way to opt out (for email, an unsubscribe link; for SMS, reply STOP).

The specific terms that govern these communications (including SMS consent language under the TCPA and email requirements under the CAN-SPAM Act) are set out in our SMS & Email Consent Notice. Consenting to marketing is never a condition of using the Platform, posting a job, or taking a lead.

5.How we share personal data

The one Pro who takes a job. Each job is exclusive: we disclose the Client's contact details (including phone number and exact address) only to the single Pro who takes (unlocks) that job, so they can be contacted for a quote. If that Pro does not close the job, it may be re-published (up to three times) and the contact is then disclosed to the next single Pro who takes it, never to more than one Pro at the same time. Until a Pro takes the job, the Client's phone number and exact address stay hidden on the Platform; only ZIP code, city and state are shown. [LAWYER-REVIEW]: this disclosure must remain truthful to the exclusive-lead flow actually implemented (one Pro per active lead, re-publish up to 3 times); any statement of a higher number would be a deceptive privacy representation (UDAP / FTC §5).

Service providers (processors) that handle data on our behalf and under our instructions:

  • Stripe: card payment processing for Pros' pay-per-lead charges.
  • Resend: sending emails (job code, alerts, Fixeep communications).
  • Cloudflare R2: file storage (job photos and verification documents).
  • Web push provider: sending browser notifications to Pros.
  • Google (Gemini): automated reading of the identity documents a Pro submits, to compare them against the profile data. The images are processed to return a verification result and are not used to train the provider's models.

Legal and safety. We may disclose data to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety and property of users, Fixeep or the public.

No sale of personal data for money. We do not sell your personal data in exchange for money. However, our analytics and advertising cookies (clause 12) may share online identifiers with providers such as Google and Meta; under some state laws this can be considered a "sale" or "targeted advertising." You can opt out at any time through the site's cookie banner and by exercising the rights described in clause 9.

We do not disclose your exact address or phone number to advertisers or data brokers. The only recipients of that contact information are the Pros who take your job. <b>No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.</b> Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with anyone.

6.Payments

Pros' pay-per-lead charges are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe collects and stores the full card details; Fixeep does not store your full card number (PAN). Fixeep keeps only limited data such as the last four digits, card brand and a payment reference to show receipts and reconcile charges. Stripe's own processing of your data is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

7.How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described here, then delete or anonymize it:

  • Job data: kept while the job is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups and legal obligations.
  • Verification documents: kept while the Pro's account is active; after rejection or deactivation they are permanently deleted within a maximum of 30 days.
  • Charge and payment records: kept for the periods required by tax and accounting rules.

Effective deletion. When a job is removed or an account is deactivated, the associated personal data is effectively anonymized or deleted: for the Client, their name, phone, address and email; for the Pro, their profile data and verification documents. Non-identifying information may be kept in anonymized form for statistics and accounting. Pros who already took the job keep the contact they were given at that time, outside the Platform's control.

8.Security and breach notification

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data: role-based access control, private document storage with short-lived signed links, encrypted transmission, and access logging for traceability. No system is completely secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond to incidents.

If a security breach affects personal data, we will take reasonable steps to contain and mitigate it and, where state law requires (including Florida's FIPA and Georgia's breach-notification law), we will notify the competent authorities and affected individuals within the legal timeframes.

9.Your state privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights over your personal data. We extend the following rights to all U.S. users of Fixeep. You may request to:

  • Access and confirm whether we process your personal data, and obtain a copy;
  • Correct inaccurate personal data;
  • Delete personal data we hold about you;
  • Data portability: receive your data in a portable, usable format;
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, of any "sale" of personal data, and of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Virginia (VCDPA). Virginia residents have the rights above under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act. We respond to a valid request within 45 days (extendable by another 45 days with notice). If we decline a request, you may appeal, and we will respond to the appeal within 60 days; if the appeal is denied you may contact the Virginia Attorney General.

Florida (FDBR) and sensitive data / minors. We do not sell sensitive data, and we treat data of anyone under 18 as sensitive (see clause 11). Georgia has no comprehensive privacy law today; Georgia users still receive this same notice, and our practices remain subject to the Federal Trade Commission Act (Section 5) prohibition on deceptive practices.

How to exercise your rights. Write to [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Automated decisions about Pro accounts. A Pro's registration may be approved, left pending, or rejected by an automated identity check, with no person involved in that first decision. Any Pro may request a human review of that outcome, state their case, and ask us to correct the underlying data, by writing to [email protected]. This affects Pro accounts only: nothing about a Client's job is decided automatically.

10.Precise location

To connect a Client with nearby Pros, the Client provides the exact service address for their job. Under some state privacy laws, an exact address can be treated as precise geolocation, which is sensitive data that requires your opt-in and cannot be sold. By submitting your exact address you agree to its use to fulfill your job request; we do not sell it and disclose it only to the Pros who take your job (clause 5).

11.Children and minors

The Platform is intended only for people 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and we do not direct the Platform to children. Consistent with the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, we treat any data of a person under 18 as sensitive. If we learn we have collected a minor's data without proper authorization, we will delete it.

12.Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and (with your consent) for analytics and advertising. You can review the categories and manage your choices in our Cookie Policy and through the site's cookie banner.

13.U.S. scope and changes to this Policy

Fixeep is operated from the United States and your data is processed on servers located in the United States. This Policy is written for U.S. users.

We may update this Policy. The current version is the one published on this page, with its version number and date. If the changes are significant, we will try to notify you through the available channels.
